New Year, New You! ๐
Hey Realzzzzzzzzz, New Year, New You, They Say!
Well, we All tend to say that every year at the beginning of the year whether we say we’re gonna change bad habits, go to the gym, leave that oh-so-toxic person in last year. We all start a new year with all good intentions, but shortly after the year begins all of those good intentions fall by the wayside. We stop going to the gym, stop drinking the water, stop eating those salads, and start calling those toxic people all over again. So how do we stick to our new year new me mantras that we put on these vision boards Realz? This year how do we make it right, how do we make it real & keep our word to ourselves?
in·ten·tion

noun
plural noun: intentions
1. 1. a thing intended; an aim or plan." she was full of good intentions"
Good intentions are the positive motivations behind an action, even if the outcome is not as expected. They are the desire to do something kind, helpful, or beneficial for others or oneself.
Like I said, we all start with good intentions so why is it that we can’t keep these?
Per Ms. Google;
Key reasons why New Year's resolutions fail:
* Unrealistic expectations: Setting overly ambitious goals that are difficult to maintain in the long run, leading to discouragement and giving up early.
* Lack of specific plan: Not having a clear roadmap or actionable steps to reach the goal, making it hard to know where to start or how to progress.
* Motivation declines: As time passes, the initial excitement around New Year's fades, and the drive to stick to the resolution weakens.
* Poor accountability: Not sharing goals with others or having a system to track progress, making it easier to slip up without noticing.
* External factors: Unexpected life events or challenges can disrupt routines and make it difficult to maintain resolutions.
* Lack of intrinsic motivation: Choosing goals that aren't personally meaningful or aligned with values, makes it harder to stay committed.
So Realz let's do better in 2025 with these New Year New Me expectations & vision boards, let's make them achievable so when we look back at them, we can be proud of ourselves, baby steps, realistic achievable, goals. We’re not gonna come out the block saying that we’re walking 25 miles a day. Let’s say that we’re walking a couple of miles a day and build up from there. Rome wasn't built in a day my love. This way we will stay motivated & committed to our overall goal. Remember to stick to things that are personal & meaningful so we stay motivated & on track.
What Say You Tribe? What words of wisdom, advice & or encouragement, do you have for the Realz in this season to help us All be successful this year in being a New You?
